Meet Corinne

this is why I left corporate

Hi! I’m Corinne.

I’m an entrepreneur and owner of a country wedding venue and B&B, and I am so glad you came to visit!

If you’re thinking about leaving corporate behind, I think my story can inspire you (and make you smile along the way).

My story started out like anyone else’s – I took a lot of the “traditional” routes in life, college then a corporate career, but these things just didn’t feel right. Ever felt that out-of-place/fish out-of-water feeling? It was that.

Instead of continuing to beat myself up about my doubts and push through, I decided to shift the narrative. I acknowledged and accepted that corporate didn’t fit me, not the other way around! So, I left corporate and moved to the country to open a wedding venue and B&B. Yes. I totally did that.

So follow me on my journey as I operate my wedding venue and bed & breakfast in the country, and renovate a farmhouse from the ground up. The things you’ll learn quickly about me are I’m very resilient, I’m a huge believer in mental health and wellness, and I am very inclusive.

So, come as you are! I assure you I love you already. Because I know you’re worthy of love-no matter what. Let’s take this journey of self-discovery, self-love, and radical acceptance together.

Always remember my favorite quote by Caroline Wanga, “If you can’t be who you are where you are, change where you are, not who you are.”

May my story inspire you to change where you are, never who you are!

Why I Left Corporate

So why did I leave a high paying job you ask? Why did I abandon the enviable six figure + opportunity I had in my lap? Why did I leave the company after 10 years of professional growth? Put simply = my values and my well-being. I left because I wasn’t willing to compromise my values any longer — specifically around equality and respect. When the environment I was working in stopped aligning with who I am, I made a decision that a lot of people thought was crazy.

I walked away from a six-figure career at 36. Not because I had it all figured out. Because I trusted that the skills I had built over a decade were worth betting on — just somewhere else, and for myself.

The Country Chapter

I moved to Georgia, bought a property, and built a life I actually wanted to live. Today I own and operate a wedding venue and bed & breakfast, and I'm renovating a farmhouse from the ground up. No two days look the same. Some days I'm reviewing construction budgets and meeting with contractors. Some days I'm helping a couple plan the most important day of their lives. Most days, both.

The skills I spent a decade building in corporate America — project management, financial discipline, leadership, risk assessment, negotiation — didn't disappear when I left. They became the foundation for everything I'm building now. I didn't start over. I transferred the skills.

Why I'm Sharing

I started Corinne Left Corporate because I wished someone had shown me the real version of this journey before I took it. Not the highlight reel. Not the Pinterest-perfect farmhouse. The actual decisions, setbacks, budget conversations, contractor headaches, and hard-won victories that happen when you're building something from scratch. If you're sitting in a conference room right now wondering if there's something more — there might be. And if there is, I want to help you get there with your eyes wide open. This is the rough, radiant, real journey. And I'm sharing every step of it.

Meet Oliver!

No introduction to my life would be complete without mentioning Oliver — my 150lb Giant Schnauzer, professional wedding crasher, and my very best friend. He's been by my side since he was eight weeks old and has strong opinions about riding shotgun on the John Deere Gator. He does not ride in the back. Non-negotiable.
